Backspin Social hosts indoor golf leagues throughout the year, giving golfers a consistent way to play, compete, and connect. Registration opens before each new season and spaces are limited. More Than Just a Weekly Round
League night is one of the best ways to experience Backspin Social. You'll play on the area's largest golf simulators, enjoy friendly competition, and get to know a community of golfers who come back week after week. Some players are chasing a lower handicap. Others simply enjoy having a regular game on the calendar. Either way, league night has a way of becoming part of your routine.
League Formats: Choose Your Style of Play
Every league is built around one of two popular formats. Both are easy to learn, fun to play, and designed to keep every round competitive.
Our Golf Scramble league is a head-to-head match ups, meaning there are NO HANDICAPS (AKA "Captains Choice"). Each player hits their own shot, and then the team selects the best shot of the two. From that location, both players hit their next shot. This is repeated until the hole is complete.
You will end with one team score. Under this format, you will play head-to-head against a new team each week, earning either a win or a loss each week. The top teams make it to playoffs, with the total number of teams making playoffs determined by the number of teams playing in each league.
In our Best Ball indoor golf league, you and a partner tee it up for 9 holes every week. You each play your own ball for every shot, every hole. The better score between you and your partner will be recorded as your team score for that hole.
Points are awarded every week based on how your team score ranks amongst all teams in the league. For example, if you have the best score, you will earn 10 points. The second best score will earn 9 points.

We also host the Wilmington Golf Tour, a series of competitive and social golf events designed to bring together golfers from Wilmington, Leland, and across southeastern North Carolina for great courses, friendly competition, and cash prizes.
